An Arts District unlike any other.

Market Court

the soul of armida.

Inspired by the tragic character of Italian folklore, the name Armida evokes images of complex beauty, romantic sophistication and sympathetic art. This is a place of rustic, urban beauty and the artful complexities of daily life.

my role.

Originally conceived as an Arts District with the name "Distrito Frida Kahlo,” I began my role on this project in Schematic Design phase. Working with the Project Designer and Design Director, we modeled, documented and graphically told the story of the rich and vibrant new district. As the project progressed, the design direction shifted vastly - from a brightly colored and patterned series of artistic boxes, to the refined, contemporary urban life development you see here. My role quickly grew into Senior Project Designer and I remain the point person for all communication and projects with this incredible client.

concepts.

As the design aesthetic shifted, my role grew to develop and refine the new direction for the entire district. Working directly with the client’s marketing and branding teams, as well as our Design Director, I orchestrated and lead the redesign of the project.

Schematics.

I lead a team of 2-5 people in setting up, building, and documenting the entire district in Revit. I also handled all client communications, meetings, presentations, travel, coordination and more. Lastly, I worked closely with project management to keep a tight schedule, meet all contractual deliverables and complete a financially successful project.
